On April 1, 2026, Drift Protocol suffered a major hacker attack, losing over $285 million.The smart contracts on Solana mainnet are currently frozen. Trading, deposits and withdrawals are unavailable. All guides, SDK and API instructions on this page are provided strictly foreducational and research purposes.

The platform's successor

On July 1, 2026, the team announced a rebrand: the exchange relaunches under the nameVelocity — a new program deployment on Solana with USDT settlement and a redesigned security model.
